Persimmon Days 2009 Review |
October 30th, 31st, and November 1st were the days for 2009's annual Persimmon Days Festival in Sparta! The festival this year brought back arts and crafts, food, games, and a costume contest. Mayor Younker even towed passengers around on a hay ride (and gave people rides to and from the parking area.)
The event was scheduled to be held at the new City Park on Division street, but due to a heavy amount of rainfall in late October, it was moved to the Highschool Track. The weather turned out great for the weekend of the festival. It appeared to be a great success for the city's new park board.
Below are some of the pictures taken at the 2009 Persimmon Days Festival.
